No, this tile is not translucent. It has a white backing that prevents light from shining completely through.

The white gel coat on our pool has been ravaged by multiple clumsy installs, so there are many gouges on it. If this tile is translucent, do you have a suggestion on how to repair the gel coat so that this tile will not show the missing white?
